The Global Vote election for the President of the Russian Federation took place on March 18th, 2018.

Ksenia Sobchak won the Global Vote by a large margin, winning more than double the votes of the runner-up, Vladimir Putin. Grigory Yavlinsky came a close third; no other candidate gained more than 3% of the vote.

Final results for the official election had not been announced at the time of publication of the Global Vote, but the Electoral Commission reported Mr Putin had received 75% of the vote after half the ballots had been counted, making a landslide victory inevitable.
